Town officials to be moved during mold cleanup
BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. (AP) — Officials at the Rockingham town hall offices will be moved to a different area during an extensive mold cleanup project.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports employees will work out of the Town Hall Lower Theater while the second and third floors of the town hall building are cleaned. Rockingham Select Board Chairwoman Susan Hammond says the town is working to get approval from its insurance to speed up the process.
According to Hammond, the work by Serv-Pro will cost between $25,000 and $30,000. Hammond isn’t sure how the company will manage the office’s paper materials.
Officials say the cause of the mold is unclear. Hammond says it could’ve stemmed from faulty air conditioning units or roof leaks.
