CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) _ Paul Molitor singled, doubled and homered, driving in three runs Monday as the Milwaukee Brewers rallied for four runs in both the seventh and eighth innings to defeat San Diego 8-4.

Molitor singled in a run in the seventh and capped the eighth-inning rally with a two-run homer to boost his spring average to .476.

All eight runs came off Padres reliever Greg Booker.

Gus Polidor, who is batting .417, also had a big day for the Brewers with two singles, a double and RBI. Catcher Tim McIntosh, who entered the game in the sixth, had an RBI single and sacrifice fly as the Brewers raised their exhibition record to 7-6.

Right-hander Bryan Clutterbuck, who allowed only one hit over three innings, got the victory. Clutterbuck has now allowed only two hits in eight shutout innings over three appearances.

San Diego scored four runs in the fifth inning, snapping Mike Birkbeck’s spring scoreless steak at 12 innings. Camelo Martinez capped the rally with a two-run homer, his third of the spring.

Right-hander Eric Showe started for San Diego and allowed only three hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out four.
