Scotus 49, Raymond Central 7

The Shamrocks found their way back into the win column in a near road shutout. Scotus scored the first 49 points and led 49-0 after three until Raymond Central finally found the end zone against the backups.

Three different Shamrocks scored two touchdowns led by Tyler Palmer’s 155 rushing yards and two scores on runs of 27 and 68.

Quarterback Caden Pelan rushed four times for 79 yards, one touchdown and tossed another to Grant Shanle for a 15-yard score.

Eric Mustard carried six times for 89 yards, scored on a 32-yard run and a 46-yard punt return.

Scotus led 20-0 after the first quarter on Palmer’s two scores sandwiched around Pelan’s big play.

It was 35-0 at halftime after Zack Beiermann ran 21 yards, Plean hit Shanle for a two-point conversion the connected with Shanle again with 30 seconds left before the break.

Mustard scored both third quarter touchdowns.

Columbus led 7-0 on a blocked punt and 14-7 after a Joey Braasch 80-yard touchdown run but allowed the next 55 points to fall to 2-3.
