Man Charged with Armed Longmont Robbery Set for April Trial

A 34-year-old man accused of robbing another man at gunpoint pleaded not guilty at an arraignment held Tuesday morning in Boulder County District Court.

Adam Lucero is charged with aggravated robbery — menacing a victim with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while also in possession of a firearm, previous illegal possession of a firearm while a juvenile offender, felony violation of bond conditions and obstructing a peace officer.

Lucero pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and is set for a jury trial beginning April 15.

According to Longmont police, Lucero robbed a man at gunpoint on June 27 on Ken Pratt Boulevard . Police learned he was in a residence in Longmont the next day, and ordered him to leave the house for arrest.

Lucero allegedly refused to leave, and Longmont SWAT officers responded to assist with the arrest.
