MEADVILLE, Miss. (AP) — A former police officer says it's possible a woman he found shot at her boyfriend's Mississippi home had pulled the trigger herself.

WDAM-TV reports former Laurel police officer Stephen Graeser testified Tuesday in the manslaughter trial of 39-year-old Greg Burroughs.

Graeser went to Burroughs' home in June 2017 after Burroughs called police.

His body camera recording, played for the jury, showed him finding 23-year-old Katherine Sinclair inside Burroughs' garage with a gunshot wound to her head. She was in her car's driver's seat with a pistol in her hand.

Graeser was put on the stand by Jones County District Attorney Anthony Buckley. Defense attorney Tracy Klein asked if what he found at the scene was consistent with suicide.
