Abandoned Building Catches Fire Overnight in Longmont

Crews respond to a fire in Longmont overnight at First Avenue and Terry Street.

A building in Longmont caught fire last night, but officials said that the structure was abandoned and that nobody was hurt.

The fire was at an old, abandoned building on the corner of First Avenue and Terry Street, according to Longmont Fire spokeswoman Molly Cropp. No people have been injured.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Cropp said 25 firefighters from Longmont Fire and Mountain View Fire as well as units from Longmont police and American Medical Response were all called to the scene.
