_The Senate has voted to continue the Clinton impeachment trial. Do you approve or disapprove of that decision?

Approve, 41 percent; disapprove, 57 percent (CNN/USA Today/Gallup).

_Regardless of what the Senate does, do you think that criminal charges should be brought against President Clinton after he leaves office, or not?

Bring criminal charges, 35 percent; do not bring criminal charges, 60 percent (Marist Poll).

_Do you think Bill Clinton will go down in history as a great president, a good president, a fair president or as a poor president?

Great, 10 percent; good, 38 percent; fair, 30 percent; poor, 22 percent (Marist Poll).

_Do you approve or disapprove of the way each of the following is handling the impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton.

Republicans in Congress: approve, 33 percent; disapprove, 57 percent.

Democrats in Congress: approve, 45 percent; disapprove, 45 percent. (both from CNN/USA Today/Gallup).

The CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll of 645 adults was taken Wednesday and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. The Marist Poll of 882 adults, taken by the Marist Institute for Public Opinion, was taken Monday and Tuesday and has an error margin of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
