Sean Penn to speak at Harvard on Haiti’s progress
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Actor-director Sean Penn and the former prime minister of Haiti will participate in a discussion at Harvard on how Haiti is faring three years after a devastating earthquake.
The discussion on Haiti’s progress and remaining challenges will be held Tuesday evening at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Sean Penn, co-founder of the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, and Michele Pierre-Louis, the prime minister of Haiti from 2008 to 2009, will be among the speakers. Lt. General Ken Keen, commander of Joint Task Force Haiti --Operation Unified Response, will also participate.
The forum will be moderated by Mary Jo Bane, a professor of public policy and management at Harvard’s Kennedy School.
