Winter Wonderland event set for The Woodlands

November 19, 2018

Santa Claus is coming to town. Well, he’s coming to Creekside Park Village Green in The Woodlands, at least.

The Winter Wonderland event, hosted by the Howard Hughes Corp., is set for Saturday, Dec. 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the village green along Kuykendahl Road between Creekside Forest Drive and New Harmony Trail.

Lorrie Parise, public relations and communications manager for the corporation, said that though the event is open to the entire Woodlands community and surrounding areas, it is mainly geared toward families.

“We definitely enjoy offering free family fun for everyone to enjoy…it’s another opportunity to give back to the community,” Parise said.

Parise added that more than 1,000 people typically drop by throughout the day.

At the event, there are scheduled to be two live reindeer, a pony carousel and photo opportunities with Santa Claus. There will also be face painters and balloon artists as well as holiday music and inflatables.

Families can take advantage of the wonderland while also wandering through the restaurants and retailers surrounding the park.

The free event is one of many community activities hosted by the corporation.
