Lake Havasu City police say a transient man who was illegally camping in city limits was arrested after officers found meth during a search.

Police say Eric A. Proctor was arrested at 3:46 a.m. March 27 after someone reported a man sleeping in his vehicle, a white 1988 Chevy Blazer, in a parking lot.

When the officer tapped on his window, he woke up. The officer said Proctor admitted he had been warned about camping in the city limits. During a search, Proctor allegedly had methamphetamine in his possession and more in his vehicle.
