SYDNEY, Australia (AP) _ Tony Meo of England defeated Australia’s John Campbell Sunday to win his second $80,000 Winfield Masters Snooker Tournament.

Meo collected the $17,500 first prize and a bonus of $2,000 bonus for his break of 134, the highest of the tournament. ---

TOKYO (AP) - The Yakult Swallows beat the Hiroshima Toyo Carp 6-3 in Japanese League baseball on former minor leaguer Bobby Marcano’s tie-breaking, two-run single in a four-run fifth inning Sunday.

Steve Ontiveros, formerly with the Chicago Cubs, doubled home two runs in a first inning four-run outburst, leading the Seibu Lions to a 7-1 victory over the Lotte Orions. ---

SAPPORO, Japan (AP) - Kayoko Ikoma, who led all the way, won the Hokkaido Women’s Golf Tournament Sunday, three strokes ahead of fellow Japanese Tatsuko Osako.

IKoma’s final-round 72 gave her a 10-under-par 212 total on the 6,376-yard, par-74 Kosaido Sapporo Country Club course.

Ikoma earned $16,000 out of a total purse of $100,000.

Osako had rounds of 73, 71, 71 for 215, 7-under par.

South Korea’s Ku Ok-hee and Japan’s veteran Hisako Higuchi shared fifth place at 217 after Ku shot a 69 Sunday and Huguchi a 72. ---

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Nikolaus Ruck of West Germany was killed in a crash during an international 24-hour motorcycling race Sunday, organizers said.

Organizers said Ruck suffered fatal head injuries after his Kawasaki 600 c.c. motorcycle left the circuit and crashed into a street lamp.

Ruck was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, organizers said.

The accident occurred 19 hours after the start the race on Saturday.
