Male dancer charged with assaulting women in Mass.
WAREHAM, Mass. (AP) — A male exotic dancer hired for a Wareham private party has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting two women there.
Thirty-one-year-old Patrick Ladapo of Providence, R.I., was arraigned Thursday on charges of rape and indecent assault and battery. He was released on $20,000 bail.
WCVB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1fmGylS) a prosecutor said Ladapo gave raffle prizes Tuesday night that included private lap dances and body rubs. The prosecutor said Ladapo allegedly took one woman to a dark room and started to touch her, pulling off her clothes.
His lawyer questioned why no one complained then. One alleged victim told WCVB she was afraid. Police said Ladapo was arrested Wednesday after a 21-year-old woman complained, and they found a second alleged victim.
Ladapo’s employer, Blaze Entertainment in Boston, told WCVB it hasn’t had complaints about him, and is cooperating with police.
