Two burglary suspects charged in Cos Cob
GREENWICH — Police arrested two suspects wanted in connection with a residential burglary in Cos Cob Monday afternoon.
Authorities said a car, a 2005 Honda, was pulled over around 2:20 p.m. for failing to stop at a stop sign. While an officer was speaking with the occupants of the car, an alert was sent out that a “burglary was interrupted by a homeowner nearby,” according to the arrest report. The vehicle used in the escape from the residence matched the description of the car stopped at the stop sign, police said.
Stolen items from the Cos Cob home were also found in the car, according to police.
Diamond Otho, 20, of Tremont Ave., Binghamton, N.Y., was charged with burglary and larceny. She was also ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign.
The other occupant in the vehicle allegedly gave a false identity to police. Mitchell Paul, 20, of State Street, Binghamton, was charged with burglary, larceny, criminal impersonation, forgery and interfering with an officer.
Bail was set at $50,000 for both detainees.
