Johnathon Kupsche

June 12, 2018

Johnathon Kupsche of Johnson Creek was a member of a University of Wisconsin-Stout team that received an honorable mention for its resealable cereal package at the 2018 Ameristar Package Awards competition.

The package used an inner scored opening and tear notch and included resealable tape.

The resealable cereal box took an idea and expanded it to a new product, helping to keep food fresh with a package that is easy to open and reclose, said Jim George, director of education at the Institute of Packaging Professionals, which sponsored the competition.

Kupsche recently graduated from UW-Stout.
