HubSpot: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) _ HubSpot Inc. (HUBS) on Tuesday reported a loss of $17.4 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 41 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, came to 37 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 12 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 25 cents per share.
The cloud-based marketing and sales software platform posted revenue of $163.3 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Ten analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $157.4 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, HubSpot expects its per-share earnings to range from 22 cents to 24 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $168 million to $169 million for the fiscal third quarter.
HubSpot expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.39 to $1.41 per share, with revenue ranging from $663 million to $665 million.
HubSpot shares have risen 31% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $165.19, an increase of 32% in the last 12 months.
