Infant struck by puck home from hospital

January 1, 2019

The infant struck by a puck during the second period of the Komets’ 4-3 loss to the Brampton Beast on Monday night was released from the hospital, is home and is OK.

She’s got a bruise on her head, but had been checked out for precautionary reasons. Fortunately, the puck had deflected off one or two things before hitting the child, the niece of Komets player Justin Hodgman.

It was a scary moment for everyone in the building, so hopefully it gives anyone who was nervous some comfort on this New Year’s Day.
