The fate of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court could be determined Thursday as a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her at a high school party will testify under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“I am here today not because I want to be. I am terrified,” Christine Blasey Ford will say in her prepared opening statement. “I am here because I believe it is my civic duty to tell you what happened to me while Brett Kavanaugh and I were in high school.”
