Zack Moss, Utah RB, hurt knee getting into bed
Of all the strange athlete injuries we’ve heard of over the years, there’s not much funny about this one.
University of Utah leading rusher Zack Moss did not play in the team’s 32-25 win over Oregon Saturday, and Utes coach Kyle Whittingham later said Moss’s knee “locked up on him” when he climbed into bed earlier this week.
It seemed the Utah training staff didn’t know much about why this happened, other than Moss’s knee may have not fully stable after a previous injury.
“It could have been a week ago, a month ago, a year ago,” Whittingham said. “There’s just no way to tell.”
It’s unknown if and when Moss will return, and Whittingham implied he could have played his final collegiate game. Moss is a junior who could declare for the NFL Draft this offseason.
