Beaver Dam man identified as Dodge County homicide victim
TOWN OF LEBANON — A 36-year-old Beaver Dam man has been identified as the person who was found dead at an address on Redwing Road last week.
Bradlee Gerke was the victim of homicide, according to Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt. An autopsy was conducted, but no information has been released regarding the cause of death yet.
There will be no further information, Schmidt said, until a complaint has been filed in Dodge County Circuit Court. However, a suspect was taken into custody soon after Gerke’s body was found.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 6:15 p.m. last Wednesday of a death that occurred at N901 Redwing Road in the town of Lebanon northwest of Ashippun. Deputies responded to the scene and discovered Gerke’s body.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Beaver Dam Police Department, Dodge County Emergency Response Team, Ashippun Fire Department and Iron Ridge Fire Department all assisted in the incident.
Schmidt said fire departments helped with lighting the area, while other police agencies helped with knocking on doors and other steps in the investigation. DCERT was on the scene to help with traffic control.
