Single-car crash kills Albuquerque woman
A single-vehicle accident south of Las Vegas, N.M., took the life of an Albuquerque woman Sunday.
According to state police, Alicia Maldonado, 24, was driving eastbound on U.S. 84 near mile marker 99 when her vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic. The vehicle moved back into the eastbound lane, but Maldonado appeared to have lost control, state police said.
The vehicle rolled several timesand Maldonado was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police said alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the accident.
