Windber magistrate reports: Aug. 9
The following preliminary hearings are scheduled before District Judge Bill Seger in Windber:
Windber Borough police charged Michelle Doyle, 34, of Spring Valley, Ohio, with theft and receiving stolen property. Police received a report from Nicole Turman that two Fitbits and a few gift cards were stolen from her home between January and June. Police found that a Panera gift card was used in Monroeville matching the card that was stolen. Doyle admitted to taking the card, according to police. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Sept. 12.
Driving under the influence
Windber Borough police charged Joseph Bohman, 57, of Johnstown, with driving under the influence, careless driving and criminal mischief. Police said officers received a call from dispatchers that a man was spinning his tires and tearing up grass in the 1400 block of Graham Avenue on Saturday. An officer found the man’s truck stuck in the grass and told him to get out of the truck. Police said Bohman was intoxicated and damaged the yard. He was taken to Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber for a blood alcohol test. The results were not listed in the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 26.
Shade Township police charged Jennifer Ketchock, 41, of Cairnbrook, with criminal mischief. Police were dispatched to an address along Shaffer Mountain Road, Cairnbrook, where Michael Custer explained that he and his ex-girlfriend, Ketchock, had an argument at the Cairnbrook Community Club and she damaged his vehicle on July 20. Police said Ketchock was recorded on security cameras kicking and hitting Custer’s vehicle. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 26.
