Norfolk High cross country squad participates in Nebraska-Kearney Invite

The Norfolk High cross country teams were involved in yesterday’s Nebraska-Kearney Invitational’s Class ‘A’ Division.

In the boys’ race, Omaha Creighton Prep was the champion with a score of 65. They won by 17 points. The Panthers placed eleventh with a score of 257. Fremont’s Jose Gonzalez was the medalist in a time of 16:10.9. He won by just less than seven seconds. Norfolk was led by Jonathon Kittleson’s 26th place finish. In the girls’ competition, Fremont was the champion with a score of 57. They won by twelve points. The Lady Panthers totaled 242 points to finish tenth. Lincoln East’ Jenna Muma was the medalist in a time of 18:41. She won by six seconds. Norfolk’s Abbie Summers led her team with her 36th place finish.
