Officials identify 2 killed in South Carolina I-77 wreck
BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (AP) — Officials have identified two people killed in a wreck on Interstate 77 in South Carolina earlier this week.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said in an email that 58-year-old Joyce Marie Dunn of Columbia died at the scene near Blythewood around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Sixty-three-year-old Brad Allen Dunn of Columbia was taken to Prisma Health Richland Memorial Hospital where he died later Wednesday night.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. David Jones told news outlets both victims were in a car that was struck from behind by a sports utility vehicle.
Jones says the driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital. There was no word on the driver’s condition.
It was also not known if charges will be filed in the deaths.
