Beaver Dam Police Beat: Sept. 14-16, 2018

Fraud — Police received a report that a woman made a fraudulent purchase at Menard’s, 121 Frances Lane, at 11:35 a.m. on Friday. Multiple stores have reported the same type of fraud.

Retail theft — Police responded to a report of a woman who stole items from Shopko, 822 Park Avenue, at 2:39 p.m. on Friday.

Suspicious behavior — Police responded to a report of a man who was in the Kohl’s parking lot, 1734 N. Spring St., with his penis exposed at 2:41 p.m. on Friday. He was cited for disorderly conduct and lewd behavior, counseled at length and will be considered a trespasser in the future.

Disorderly conduct — Police responded to a report from a man who said an employee at Pizza Hut, 1724 N. Spring St., threatened him at 7:47 p.m. on Friday. The employee said the man came in swearing and ordering them to remake his pizza while refusing to leave. They were both counseled.

Pokemon Go — Police responded to a car driving slowly at Tahoe Park at 9:58 p.m. on Friday. The driver was playing Pokemon Go.

Vandalism — Police responded to a report of vandalism of a political sign in the 800 block of South Spring Street at 8:54 a.m. on Saturday.

Domestic problem — A woman reported that a man choked her at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. She was instructed to call back if he returned. The woman was later taken to the Winnebago Mental Health Institution.

Disorderly conduct — A man reported disorderly conduct from another man who was displeased about his driving in the 300 block of Jefferson Street at 5:08 p.m. on Saturday. Police attempted contact with the suspect and were to follow up.

Drugs — Police conducted a search of a residence in the 800 block of Scott Street at 6:36 p.m. on Saturday and found bongs, marijuana pipes, suspected LSD, cannabis dabs, suspected MDMA and other items.

Theft — A man reported theft of a bike from a residence in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.

Accident — Police responded to an accident between two vehicles in the intersection of Frances Lane and Gateway Drive at 10:39 a.m. on Sunday.

Sex — Police responded to a report of a sex offense in the 300 block of West Maple Avenue at 11:59 a.m. on Sunday.

Accident — Police responded to an accident between two vehicles in the intersection of Spring Street and Karl Street at 12:32 p.m. on Sunday.

Vandalism — A woman reported her back patio table was broken while she was gone all weekend in the 200 block of Bogert Street at 2:36 p.m. on Sunday.

Theft — A woman reported theft of medication and money from a gym bag in a locker at the YMCA, 220 Corporate Drive, at 3:31 p.m. on Sunday.

Retail theft — Police received a report of a sock theft from Fleet Farm, 1815 N. Spring St., at 4:07 p.m. on Sunday and issued a man a citation.

Noise complaint — A man reported his upstairs neighbor was stomping around in the 100 block of Elm Street at 5:05 a.m. on Monday. The neighbor said they were stomping due to dogs barking. Both were spoken to.
