John Williams, who leads Fullerton in scoring and rebounding with averages of 15 and seven, respectively, was hampered by a toe injury and had just two points and one rebound in 16 minutes of action. Also, guard Brian Thomas was held out of the game for disciplinary reasons.
The Aggies took control of the game early in the second half. The teams were tied at halftime 27-all before Utah State went on a 14-6 run to start the second half.
Fullerton got as close as two points before the Aggies went on a 16-4 run to make it 57-43. As it turned out, Utah State had enough points at that stage for the victory.
