November 29, 2018

NORFOLK - High school seniors to college juniors studying in Ag related fields are encouraged to apply for a $1,500 Grow Ag Leaders scholarship.

The scholarship program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer will be awarding 350 scholarships totaling more than $500,000 across the U.S.

Business Communications Manager for Bayer, Jessica Rommel says there are only a few requirements to make sure students are eligible.

“Students have to be 23 years of age or younger, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and pursing higher education in some Ag related field of study. Students don’t have to be going to a four year school, they’re eligible if they’re going to a two year school or technical school.”

Rommel says students must also obtain two endorsements from eligible farmers, but don’t have to be an FFA member.

You can apply for the scholarship now through February 6th at FFA.Org/Scholarships.
