Meet Bodhi, Omid and Zara: The snow leopard cubs at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo have names

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The three snow leopard cubs at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo have been named Bodhi, Zara and Omid.

The zoo last month sought the public’s help to pick the cubs’ names -- with a donation to the Cleveland zoo through the Future for Wildlife Fund or a visit to the exhibit.

The zoo in a tweet Thursday said it raised more $4,400 in donations to help name the cubs. The money will go toward helping snow leopards in Central Asia.

The cubs, two males and one female, were born April 22. They were moved to the new $5.8 million, state-of-the-art Asian Highlands exhibit last month. They share the space with their mom, Sombra; their dad, Amga, and a few other animals, like red pandas and an Amur leopard, according to zoo
