According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men (after skin cancer), but it can often be treated successfully. Men at risk for prostate cancer include those between the ages of 55 and 69. African-American men over 40 and those over 40 with a family history of the disease are at increased risk.
