April 3, 2019

DeMar DeRozan got to the free-throw line time and time again Tuesday at the AT&T Center. DeRozan hit 15 of 16 from the line and scored 29 points as he led the Spurs past the Atlanta Hawks 117-111.

The Spurs broke through in a tight game with less than five minutes left when Derrick White hit back-to-back shots to put them up 105-102. White went 10 of 12 from the field and scored 23 points.

Bryn Forbes, who scored 19 points, then hit a 3-pointer to put the game away. LaMarcus Aldridge had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Spurs held Rookie of the Year candidate Trae Young to only 15 points, but struggled to contain center Alex Len and backup guard Kent Bazemore. Bazemore scored 26 points for the Hawks and Len added 21.

The Spurs face the Nuggets at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
