The Herald-DispatchMay 18, 2019

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Ker-igan Moore struck out 18 and pitched a three-hit shutout for Ironton (25-1) in a 1-0 victory against Huntington in an Ohio Division in softball district semifinal game.

Second-seeded Ironton advanced to the district championship game at 11 a.m. Saturday against No. 1 seed Westfall. The winner of that game moves on to the regional tournament Wednesday in Lancaster, Ohio.

The Fighting Tigers scored in the third inning, as Riley Schreck singled, stole second and came home on a single by Kylee Richendollar, who went 2-for-3. Huntington put a runner on second with none out in the sixth inning and runners at first and third with none out in the seventh, but both time Moore struck out the next three batters to end the threats.
