PD: New Haven woman charged with DUI in Orange
ORANGE — A New Haven woman was recently charged with driving under the influence after cops saw her allegedly drifting out of her lane while driving recently, police said.
Samantha M. Collins, 30, of New Haven, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and failure to stay in a proper lane.
While officers were on Boston Post Road on Monday around 2 a.m., they saw a car drifting out of its lane multiple times, police said. The cops pulled over the driver, later identified as Collins, and asked her to perform standardized sobriety field tests.
Though it was unclear whether Collins failed the test or failed to agree to take them, she was still taken into custody and charged.
There were no immediate court records available for Collins.
