Outdoors retailer sets opening date on Greenwich Ave.

September 18, 2018

Orvis posted notice of plans to open on Saturday its new Greenwich store, more than a month after Fjallraven debuted across Greenwich Avenue.

In southwestern Connecticut, Orvis has an existing retail store in Darien and an outlet in Norwalk. Orvis is taking over a former Janie and Jack storefront at 107 Greenwich Ave., setting an opening date of Sept. 22.

Orvis sells a range of clothing and other gear to include fly fishing tackle, rugs for the home and luggage.

Fjallraven, which focuses on trekking apparel and equipment, opened in mid-August at 200 Greenwich Ave.
