Cardinals’ Lankford Leaves Game

May 13, 2000

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ St. Louis outfielder Ray Lankford left the Cardinals’ game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night with blurred vision after the top of the first inning.

Lankford was tentative going after two fly balls in left field in the Dodgers’ five-run first, with both falling for hits. Shawn Green hit a three-run double in the gap, a ball that could have been caught.

Lankford is batting .208 with seven homers and 13 RBIs and a team-leading 38 strikeouts in 101 at-bats.
