HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) — Police are investigating more gunfire in Holyoke.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire on East Dwight Street at about 6 p.m. Monday.
Police tell The Republican (http://bit.ly/1e9RB0M ) the initial reports indicated that “someone was down,” but when they arrived at the scene, they could find neither victims nor shooters.
Police have not received any reports of anyone showing up at area hospitals for treatment of a gunshot wound.
The city has been plagued with gunfire in recent weeks. Last week a school bus carrying 10 children was struck by two bullets. No one was hurt.
On Jan. 10, an officer came under fire while investigating reports of gunshots. He was not hurt. Two people were arrested in that incident.
