Residents can learn about renewable energy at Oct. 30 open house
An Indiana Township open house on Oct. 30 is aimed at providing user-friendly information on renewable energy sources.
It is from 7 to 9 p.m. in the municipal building, 3710 Saxonburg Boulevard. It is free and open to the public.
Volunteer Amy Giammattei said there will be information on local vendors, costs and potential tax benefits of solar and geothermal energy and electric/hybrid vehicles. Groups expected to be there include non-profit Solar United Neighbors, which will help people solicit and compare bids from installers.
The meeting was organized by township residents. For more, visit facebook.com/renewable
