PISCATAWAY N.J. (AP) _ Jessie Stomski scored 24 points and added 10 rebounds to lead Wisconsin to a 81-80 victory over Northeastern in double overtime at the Rutgers Coca-Cola Classic on Sunday night.

No. 25 Wisconsin (3-1) led 35-16 at the end of the first half and led by as many as 25 points early in the second half. But Northeastern (2-3) battled back to even the score at 54-54 with 4:23 to go in regulation play.

Northeastern took its first lead of the game, 56-54, when Lani Lawrence netted two of her game-high 27 points with 2:18 remaining.

Wisconsin’s LaTonya Sims, who scored 22 points, tied the game at 56 with a layup.

With 13 seconds remaining in regulation play, Northeastern’s Tesha Tinsley scored a fade-away three-pointer, but was matched by a three-pointer from Wisconsin’s Kyle Black.

Northeastern led throughout the first overtime, until Sims’ jump shot in the last three seconds sent the game into a second overtime.

Wisconsin finally prevailed in the second overtime when Sims hit a running layup to give the Badgers the victory.
