Complaint: Prosecutor allowed witnesses to lie on stand in retrial of innocent man

Two years ago today Michael Wright was acquitted by a jury of the 1991 rape and murder of an elderly woman in her North Philadelphia home due in large part to DNA evidence that did not exist when he was convicted in 1993 and sentenced to life in prison without parole.

In June, Wright, 47, received a nearly $10 million settlement from Philadelphia, the largest wrongful-conviction payout in city history.
