CBI Releases More Info on Christopher Watts Murders

March 7, 2019
Christopher Watts sits in court for his sentencing hearing at the Weld County Courthouse on November 19, 2018, in Greeley, Colorado.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has released more documents and audio files on Christopher Watts that reportedly provide additional information on the deaths of his pregnant wife and two daughters.

Watts, 33, is currently serving multiple consecutive life sentences for killing his wife, Shanann, 34, and the couple’s two daughters, 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste, and disposing of their bodies in a rural Weld County oil field in August.

Shanann Watts and her daughters were reported missing by a family friend. Christopher Watts denied any involvement initially, but eventually told police that he killed his wife after she killed the couple’s daughters.

He pleaded guilty to murdering all three in November.

According to the CBI, investigators spoke with Christopher Watts last month to gain further insight into the case.
