No. 14 Auburn Defeats Mississippi 82-70

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) _ Reserve Louise Emeagi scored 21 points in 26 minutes, and Le’Coe Willingham had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead No. 14 Auburn past Mississippi 82-70 Thursday night.

The Tigers (19-5, 7-3 Southeastern Conference) have won three straight since losing in overtime to Tennessee on Feb. 1.

Tywanna Inmon scored 17 points for Mississippi (15-9, 6-4), which had its four-game winning streak snapped and lost at home for the first time in eight games this season.

Auburn shot 56 percent from the field and dominated the Lady Rebels on the boards, 44-33.

Natasha Brackett had 13 points and seven rebounds, Mandisa Stevenson had 11 boards and Nicole Louden had 10 points and eight assists for the Tigers, who jumped out to a 46-32 halftime lead.

Mississippi shot only 34 percent (24-for-70) with starters Genice Terry and Carletta Brown going a combined 1-for-20, including 1-for-14 from 3-point range.

Freshman Arminitie Price scored 12 points, and Amber Terrell added 10.
