Dahlkoetter edges Wiebelhaus by one vote in City Council Ward 4 race
NORFOLK - The Norfolk City Council Ward 4 General Election race was very close as only one vote separated the two candidates.
Jarad Dahlkoetter edged out Fred Wiebelhaus 580 votes to 579.
Dahlkoetter thought the election went great, and was a good learning opportunity.
“I think we both worked very hard, Fred put in just as much effort as I did. I was really enjoying the process because I got to meet a lot of new people and experience a lot of new things. I also really got to know the pulse of Ward 4 through my campaigning and what I should be focusing on during my term.”
Wiebelhaus said he was pleased with how the election and his campaign went.
Both were also very pleased with voter turnout given the Primary Election numbers were down.
Madison County Clerk Nancy Scheer said if an automatic recount is determined by the canvasing board, that’ll be held next week.
