Roxbury Man Facing Drug Trafficking Charges
TEWKSBURY -- A Roxbury man was charged with drug trafficking after he was found in possession of 49 grams of cocaine and oxycodone during a traffic stop on Friday, authorities say.
Jimmorie L. Marshall, 32, of Winthrop St., Roxbury, was charged with trafficking cocaine over 36 grams and possession of a Class B substance, according to a press release.
Marshall was additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, resisting arrest, speeding and an open container violation for both alcohol and marijuana.
Marshall, stopped for speeding, was asked to exit his vehicle by police after it was established the 32-year-old did not have an active driver’s license, the release states. Marshall allegedly refused to comply.
“He made furtive movements and resisted officers,” police said. “After officers were able to secure Marshall they discovered 49 grams of cocaine and oxycodone.”
Marshall was due to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Friday. The details of his arraignment were not immediately available.
