Hook called up by Wales after Biggar injury
CARDIFF, Wales (AP) — James Hook has been called up by Wales ahead of test matches against Fiji and New Zealand following an injury to fellow flyhalf Dan Biggar.
Biggar hurt his groin in the 33-28 loss to Australia on Saturday.
Hook, capped 76 times, will not be free to play against South Africa in Wales’ final autumn test on Nov. 29. This is because he is among a group of England-based players who are not allowed to play in games that fall outside the IRB’s window for November internationals.
Wales could also be without fullback Leigh Halfpenny after he went off with concussion against Australia.
