Katherine ‘Kay’ Arrivo

Katherine “Kay” Louise Arrivo, passed away from our world after almost 93 years of life, on Jan. 14, 2019, in Noblesville, Ind.

She was well-known for her love of dance and music. Kay was a sweet, lovely person with a quiet demeanor, her family and friends said.

Kay endured hardship without complaint, never showing pain or discomfort.

In her earlier years, Kay was a dance instructor and also a tremendous shorthand stenographer, an art that was extremely valuable in her time.

She was employed at the Sherwin Williams Paint Company in Chicago, before moving to Kankakee in the late ’40s.

Kay and her late husband, Marty, shared their love of music and elegant dance steps with friends throughout Kankakee County and also while vacationing in Redington Shores, Fla. They enjoyed numerous happy hours, celebrations and senior citizens’ get-togethers.

Surviving Katherine are her daughter, Linda; son, John and daughter-in-law, Madonna; eight grandchildren; and six great-granddaughters.

In addition to her husband, Marty, she was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Mary Marzilli; sisters, Theresa McCracken and Virginia Marzilli; and brothers, Louis, Abraham and John Marzilli.

Kay resided in Bradley until moving to Noblesville four years ago, prior to Marty’s passing.

A private memorial service will be Saturday, March 30, in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais.
