Ohio woman arrested after fight at youth football game

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A woman is facing multiple charges after police say she smashed the windows of a car and struck another woman during a melee at a youth football game.

Shanell Tomlin, 27, is charged with assault, criminal damage and menacing, WKBN Channel 27 reports.

Police tell WFMJ Channel 21 that officers responded to reports of a large fight at about 1 p.m. Saturday at an elementary school.

Tomlin is accused of using her son’s helmet to smash the window’s of a car. She also reportedly hit a woman multiple times in the face before being pulled off of her by bystanders.

Reports did not say what sparked the fight. There were no other injuries or arrests reported.
