Norwegian charged in Poland over car accident
WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Prosecutors in Poland have charged a Norwegian owner of a luxury sports car with causing a traffic accident in which 15 persons were injured, including two children.
During a car show in the western city of Poznan last Sunday, the man’s rare Koenigsegg car skidded into the crowd.
Prosecutor Jacek Derda said Tuesday the man has pleaded not guilty and has been released on bail.
However, he has had his passport taken pending the investigation and could face up to five years in prison if convicted.
The accident took place during the ninth Gran Turismo Polonia show, in which drivers show off their rare sports cars.
