Body of missing 2-year-old boy recovered near Skagit Bay
MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say the body of a 2-year-old boy who disappeared in the Skagit River last month has been recovered about 4 miles (6 kilometers) north of where he was last seen.
The Skagit Valley Herald reports duck hunters found the child’s body Thursday just off shore in Skagit Bay, according to a news release from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
The body has been confirmed to be that of Star Austin Rogers-White, who was reported missing Nov. 29 after he apparently drove a toy electric vehicle into the water near the south fork of the Skagit River.
The Sheriff’s Office does not suspect foul play in the boy’s death and his body has been turned over to the Skagit County coroner.
