Ag-Ceptional Women’s Conference set for Friday
NORFOLK - The 10th annual Northeast Community College Ag-Ceptional Women’s Conference is set to take place Friday.
Dean of Agriculture, Math, and Science Corinne Morris says the theme this year is “Shine.”
Morris says the conference is an event to inspire women in agriculture to continue doing what they do.
“Everywhere from the barn to the board room, these women are making a difference. They are key in a lot of the decisions that are made, and they keep people going as well as themselves going. There’s probably more women operators and producers than people even realize, and today more than ever women on the farm and in ranching operations are partners”
Morris says Damian Mason is set to be the keynote speaker, and he will discuss business and agriculture with some comedy added.
Morris says workshops will be held throughout the day focusing on topics ranging from finances, health, livestock management, and advocating for agriculture.
It’s set for all day Friday at the Lifelong Learning Center on the campus of Northeast Community College beginning at 8.
