New York Jets fan blames drunken driving arrest on lousy team

WAYNE TOWNSHIP, New Jersey — Being a New York Jets fan isn’t easy. It’s not an excuse for driving under the influence.

But police say that was the excuse offered by Christopher Greyshock, 57, of West Milford, N.J., after he got into a crash and was arrested on suspicion of OVI following the Jets 41-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

According to nj.com, Greyshock told Wayne Police during his sobriety test, “I drank too much because the Jets suck.”

It apparently didn’t stop with alcohol. Police say they also found a baggie of marijuana in Greyshock’s vehicle, northjersey.com reports. There also was the burnt remnants of a marijuana cigarette and rolling papers in the car, reports say.

Greyshock is charged with assault by auto because the driver he hit was injured, DWI, reckless driving and drug possession. He was arrested but has since been released.
