3 killed when SUV crashes on Long Island

MOUNT SINAI, N.Y. (AP) — Police on Long Island say three people have been killed when an SUV went off the road, struck a utility pole and caught fire.

Suffolk County police say the crash occurred around 11 p.m. on Monday in Mount Sinai.

The driver and two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.
