Premature Son of Rep. Jackson Dies
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ A baby boy born prematurely to Illinois Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife died a short time after delivery over the weekend.
Sandi Jackson, 34, was admitted to University of Utah hospital Thursday because of complications from her pregnancy, according to a statement released by the hospital Sunday at the request of Jesse Jackson’s father, the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The Jacksons’ baby was delivered four months premature on Saturday and died a short time later, the hospital said.
Mrs. Jackson was in good condition Sunday. The Jacksons had been attending a conference on youth leadership in Deer Valley, about 20 miles east of Salt Lake City.
